photoblog image A crane in the news.

A crane in the news.

I was around Garston Docks on Sunday with my camera and decided to take a picture of the cranes there, not brilliant but could be interesting. Watching the local news on television tonight the same crane was pictured in a story about how a local policeman had prevented a man from jumping off it after an arguement. The Liverpool Echo has the story here.

wow interesting story.........Now you dont just have a shot, you've got a story for a lifetime.
Les Auld: Thanks Ada, appreciate the comment.
Sentries of the river. I can`t see cranes without being reminded of the banks of the Tyne. (:o) Lovely photograph, btw, the colour of the crane is gorgeous against the grey skies, and the peachy coloured ironwork looks great against the blue of the crane. (:o)
Les Auld: They are grand colours Rosalyn, thanks for the comment.
Excellent shot Les, this guy must have been keen to die, most people wouldn't even go up this thing.
Les Auld: There was also a fence to get over Brian, thanks for the comment.
Wow, what an amazing story! Excellent photograph too. Good job it didn't happen on Sunday, it could have been a very different photograph!
Les Auld: You are so right Pat, thanks for the comment.

Really nice processing of this old crane, I just love how you have brought out all the details in the metal!
Les Auld: Thanks Claus, I used a pseudo HDR technique on this, used five versions of the same image to produce an HDR then post processed in Photoshop.
