photoblog image The Wreck of the Sarsia

The Wreck of the Sarsia

This boat seems to have been decaying away at the East Float, Birkenhead docks for a long time now. The vessel is the Sarsia, launched in 1953 as the fisheries research vessel for the Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom. I suppose one day the owners of the dock will do something about it but untill then it can provide an interesting subject for photographers.
