photoblog image On Park Road.....

On Park Road.....

... In Liverpool 8 is this fine old warehouse. a secure site for all your storage needs back before the wars. It looks like the fireproof bit has been put to the test judging by the smoke marks above the windows. Try as I have I cannot find out any details of this building but I can imagine the sort of people who used this facility and the goods that were once stored here.

A different view of the building can be found here..

Nice texture work! It fits the subject matter very well.
Les Auld: Thanks Martin, I thought it just called out for a texture or three.
I guess this will soon be gone so well done for recording it.
Les Auld: Possibly Bill, thanks for the comment.
I am amazed there is no reference to this building online. Particularly as there is a very active Toxteth history site.

Great bit of history Les.
Les Auld: Thanks Alistair, appreciate the link, I used to live and play in Toxteth in the 1950s so it brings back memories.
Les Auld: Fund it, thanks Alistair.
I like the way the backgrounds to the writing appear to be painted on to the brickwork within the frames around them. Good shot once again Les.
Les Auld: All done with bricks and tiles Brian, thanks for the comment.

A lovely presentation of this, Les. I like the fine textiure of lovely old building. I hope it survives any redevelopment.
Les Auld: Thanks Alan, it really does catch the eye.
