One man and his parrot

The thing about the Albert Dock complex in Liverpool is that given the slightest opportunity street performers will appear at all types of events so through the year you get to see some interesting characters wandering around. This chap often pops up at the Dock. Obviously a pirate figure complete with plastic parrot, but no wooden leg though.

HA! I can just hear him saying, "If you can't take a joke!" You've captured a sea-hardy chap, Les, delightfully!
Les Auld: He was really a very friendly chap Ginnie, thanks for the comment.
Good fun picture Les, and just the right background as well.
Les Auld: If I remember correctly it was the Prince William sail training ship. Thanks for the comment Brian

"Who's a pretty boy, then?". "Ahahah, Jim lad.." and all the otehr one-legged sailor remarks. You think he'd enter in to the spirit of the thing and have a leg amputated!
Les Auld: So he should Alan, thanks for the comment.

Interesting how people would want to do something like dress up and hang around a place like this.

Great picture.
Les Auld: I think it would be a poorer world if no one did Louis, thanks for the comment.
