Ludstone

Not all preserevd Diesels are Britsh Rail types, there are quite few industrial locos hanging about the sidings as well. Ludstone is a twin engined, double ended Janus tyoe Locomotive built by the Yorkshire Engine Company and spent it's life at Shelton Steel Works. After it was retired the engine was presented to the Foxfield Railway to work alongside other, steam, locomotives that spent their time at Shelton.

Exceptional image and superb manipulation in your processing. I love this.
Les Auld: Thanks for the compliments Sherri.
There is a brute strength about this locomotive and your treatment emphasizes that strength perfectly
Les Auld: I can just visualise it pulling loads of steel around, thanks for the comment Bill.

I called in at Foxfield a while ago but don't remember seeing this. Your pictures are proving that diesels can be interesting in their own right Les.
Les Auld: I found it behind the station with a few others when I was ther, thanks for the comment Brian.

sherri said it all, so I just need to lift a sherry to you.
Les Auld: A fine Amontillado would go down well, Louis, thanks for the comment.
