photoblog image Staybridge Suites

Staybridge Suites

Hotels are sprouting up on the Kings Dock next to the new Liverpool Echo Arena, this is the Staybridge Suites, yet to be completed.

The original sky was competely washed out so I found a new one that I felt made the image more interesting, The picture was taken down by the dock one morning, just not on the same day as the hotel. There is a mistake if you look close enough, I did not notice it untill I had uploaded the picture so decioded to leave it in.

Cool angles, sweet colors. If you could remove the name of the hotel, it would be nearly perfect smile
Les Auld: Thanks Jewlya, appreciate the comment.

Must be the insides, because the exterior looks very complete.

Excellent composition and colour matching of the hotel with the clouds.
Les Auld: Final fit is going on now Louis, thanks for the comment.
The sky is well chosen. If you hadn't have said I probably wouldn't have spotted the "mistake"
Les Auld: Thanks Bill, it did seem to fit together reasonably well.

I have no idea what "mistake" you're talking about, Bill, so just shut up and keep quiet. I love the color tones of this image and would never have guessed that you substituted a new sky!
Les Auld: I did admit to the mistake Ginnie, glad you like it though, it makes a change from the old buildings around here.

I think I can see it, but wouldn't have noticed. The sky is just about perfect, matches the building really well too - colour co-ordination at its best smile
Les Auld: All down to a Photoshop warm-up filter over all the layers, thanks for the comment Ellie.

That is a nice sky. I like the angles too.
Les Auld: Thanks for the comment Spoon, it did seem to come together reasonably well.
Nice graphic shapes and angles Les, and so what about the sky change, I think the picture looks great. Can't find the mistake though, oh yes I have just found it on a longer look.
Les Auld: Thanks Brian, makes a change from the older buildings around here.

Never did like things that were/are considered perfect .. Heck! I love a bit of vernacular in things. ;-) ;-)
Seems as if we're looking at this through rose tinted specs. richard
Les Auld: Not rose coloured Richard but a photoshop warm-up filter, thanks for the comment.

I like the way you have matched the sky colour to the building! It's only a little mistake, and I'm sure I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out.
Ingrid
Les Auld: Sometimes you just have to say how it is Ingrid, thanks for the comment.

The weird tones add to the strong geometry. Very nice!
Les Auld: Thanks Martin glad you like it.
