... The second in my hunt for local WWII pillboxes

On the River Mersey just before Garston is Cressington Esplanade, looking round the wall at the end of the road I found my second pilbox, just before Garston Docks on the river bank. Apparently it is known as a Type 22 Brick Built Pillbox with embrasures for light machine guns.

Very murky looking day Les, but well found and interesting.
Les Auld: A bit grey and blustery Brian, but the only place you can take a picture of this pillbox.
