Crosby Radar Station

Sitting at the edge of Seaforth Docks in Liverpool is the old radar station, disused for quite a while now. The local council has plans to develop this area and put a viewing tower there. They have invited designs from sveral companies and the initial renders are quite spectacular. It looks like it could be a splendid place with views out over Liverpool Bay, North Walesand back down to the docks, especially when the new Post Panamax riverside container port is built in the next few years, I can't wait to get down there with camera and tripod for the sunsets.

Brings back memories Les. Amazing how these once state of the art technologies are now so redundant. Satellites have a lot to answer for! I must be getting old!
Les Auld: Technology seems to advance at a great rate these days Alistair, thanks for the comment.

Good picture Les and great light. I suppose the tower is too old to be turned into a public viewing platform.
Les Auld: Would need too much work to make it into something it was not intended for, thanks for the comment Brian.

I think it will be interesting to record the development of the area.
