Shankley at the Kop End
Seeing that I uploaded a photo of Everton Football Club yesterday I felt I had to redress the balance and provide one of Liverpool FC today.
Bill Shankley is arguably the greatest manager Liverpool ever had, December 1st 1959 is a date that
will forever be etched in the annals of Anfield history. For it
was on this day that Liverpool Football Club announced Huddersfield
Town boss Bill Shankly would be their new manager in succession
to Phil Taylor. He remained manager until 1974. As a tribute to him he was immortalised in bronze at the Kop End of Anfield in charactaristic pose of celebration at the success of his beloved team.
believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important
