photoblog image Waiting for the tide

Waiting for the tide

Looking out to sea, wondering, waiting for the tide to turn.

River Mersey wash over me,
Whisper where your secrets lie.
I shall tell you of my family
And promise not to cry.

The Liverpool Saga 800 lines for 800 years, written by the people of Liverpool.

I  used another of the free texture I found on Flickr, by NinianLif on this image.

A very evocative shot Les - the birds are a good addition. These textures you have been using are really very effective.
Ingrid
Les Auld: Thanks Ingrid, strangely enough the birds were already there so I did not have to paste them in (as if I would!)

I've seen these guys on a TV report...SKY News maybe...I thought they were silly at first but I've see some excellent shots of these, and I've changed my mind and really like them.
Les Auld: Thanks Dave, many people do think they are a bit silly, but they are a gift for photographers.
