photoblog image The Brush Salesman

The Brush Salesman

A few years back we went to Bangkok to visit and came back with a few pictures, this is just one of them. I don't know how this fellow could see where he was going but he never seemed to have any problems getting there.

The juxtaposition of the two vendors, one stationary and one mobile, is very interesting here, Les. But you're right, the brush man takes the cake!
Les Auld: There was so much activity on the street it was difficult to know just where to point the camera. Thanks Ginnie.
Very nice street sight ! Hope you'll post more of this travel !
Les Auld: Thanks Zeb, I do have a few more to post.
Very nice street shot Les. I like the tones. Has he got a reversed mirror to see where he goes?
Les Auld: Thanks Richard it was fun to record the street live of Bangkok as well as some of the more well known tourist scenes.
A bizarre vehicle. Well seen.
Les Auld: Thanks Ian, just one of several seen there.
There's just so much to enjoy in this picture Les.
Les Auld: Thanks Bill, apreciate the comment.
Man riding a saamlor - (three wheeler); much quieter than his modern cousin the tuk-tuk.

Bit different to getting the Charabanc to Blackpool ;o)
Les Auld: Very much so Mike, but then "Vive La Difference" I say.

What a brilliant picture, and so much to see too. A real snippet of social history.

Tell me please, he didn't fall off his bike or collide with anything did he? Like you I can't imagine how he can see where he's going.
Les Auld: Thanks Ellie, never saw him have any problems, just sold his wares as he travelled.
What a funny image. He certainly is loaded down but how can he possibly see? A good street shot.
Ingrid
Les Auld: Thanks Ingrid, it always amazed me just how the cycles were loaded with goods of many different types but nothing fell off.
