Beached in Morecambe

A grey misty day at Morecambe. These boats seem to have been on the beach for a long time.

You've leached the colour out of this Les, & it reminds me of raw, damp beaches off-season
Les Auld: Thanks Chris, that was the intention, appreciate the comment.
Zip up the anorak and trudge off down the beach. I like this a lot Les.
Les Auld: Thanks Bill, t'was a cold damp day and no mistake.

Looks very sad - especially when you think of the lovingly restored locomotives you shared with us recently.
Les Auld: Thanks Mike, can't beat a bit of contrast.
Sadly the few times I've been to Morecambe the weather has always been like this, so well captured and thanks for the memory nudge.
Les Auld: Glad to help stimulate the old grey cells, thanks Max.
Lovely, I love living next to the beach, off season is almost better than in season. Bill's right zip up the parka.... smile
Les Auld: So right David, I just wish Southport was a bit more interesting. Thanks for the comment.

I like the atmosphere you've captured here - typical British seaside weather. It feels chilly all of a sudden.
Ingrid
