That looks more like an oversized bugle and I don't want to be around when someone blows it.
Les Auld: Conjours up a strange picture does that, thanks Martin.
I like it a lot, but what do the locals think?
Les Auld: Looking through the archives of the local paper it would seem quite a few folk did not like it. Thanks for the comment.

For a moment there I thought it would come in handy with distillation. A very interesting arty fact - cannot make up my mind whether I would like it on my street smile

Great picture.
Les Auld: Thanks Louis, it is actually a fountain but I have never seen it working.

Impressive piece of art work.
Les Auld: Looks like it weighs a ton, thanks tracy
Well it certainly is a talking point! Great photograph. (:o)
Les Auld: True, but I still don't know what the relationship between the urn and ramsbottom is, thanks for the comment Rosalyn.
I don't know what to say Les. My mother was from Lancashire (Nelson) and I always thought they were sensible folk up there, not given to frippery. Now what do I see, a demented ear trumpet!
Les Auld: There is a hill between Nelson and Ramsbottom so maybe sensible couldn't climb it. thanks for the comment Bill.
Looks like a drunk giant dropped it smile
Les Auld: and then spilt his drink, thanks David appreciate the comment.

It looks out of place, like it was just accidently dropped there. Terrific shot of it.
Les Auld: very true Aussie, can't work out why it is there.
