Cracking. Straight to my likeys. Love the planes coming out of the frame. All the best, Dave.
Les Auld: Thanks dave, I was lucky in that they were flying directly towards me when I took this and the framing seemed appropriate.h
Wow I was watching the display from the distant beach at St Annes. They seemed to put on a particularly lengthy show.

This is an absolute cracker Les. Everything about it is spot on. I particularly like the planes bursting out of the frame.
Les Auld: Thanks Alistair, I think the display lasted for about 25 minutes, fortunately the weather held for them. Glad you like it though.
nice one les, i was there yesterday.
Les Auld: Thanks Michael, hope you enjoyed the show, although the weather was a bit changeable.

I don't think it was as good as previous years, there was no beach display by the army and some of the planes did not show up either. Looking forward to next year now.
Hé Hé !
Very well done and I like your creative effect here !
Bravo !!
Les Auld: Thanks Zeb, can't beat a bit of framing now and then.
Bursting the frame is a great touch. Well done.
Les Auld: Thanks Ian, I tried this effect out a couple of years ago and have been looking for a more suitable image ever since, glad you liked it.

Double excellent shot and what creative processing! Those 'off the frame' planes give the picture a strong 3-D feeling.

Where were you to be able to take this picture? In another plane ahead of them?
Les Auld: Thanks Louis, I was standing on the beach and they were heading straight for me. Glad you liked it.

How in the world did you do that, Les! That's amazing processing!!!
Les Auld: Thanks Ginnie, not too difficult. Put a layer above the image, build the frame and then use a layer mask to expose the planes.
Good pic, where the proportions between the boat, the buildings and the people are seen clearly! smile

Just having a browse through your recent photos Les. I like what I see, but this is spectacular.
Les Auld: Thanks Steve, appreciate you stopping by to look.
Totally amazing! I just love the way you have presented this fabulous photograph! (:o)
Les Auld: I thought it just cried out for a bit of frame bursting, thanks Rosalyn.
