photoblog image St Annes after the sun goes down

St Annes after the sun goes down

Just the place to watch the sun set over the Ribble estuary, provided the waiters don't hurry you on that is.

A lakeside cafe in St. Annes, Lancashire, one fine evening.

Great composition. Have you played around with noise reduction?
Les Auld: Hi Martin, thanks for the comemnt, didn't use any noise reduction on this, just some levels and contrast adjustments to bting out the image a bit more, otherwise as it came out of the camera.

Thanks for the comment.
I love this time of day. Even the most ordinary of places can become magical.
Les Auld: So do I, the magic hour. Thanks for the comment.

Lovely moment and well captured. Here is a tip: if the waiter hurry you out of the place don't tip him/her smile
Les Auld: Thanks Louis, and I don't do tips either.

I like this image, Les. The restaurant has a lovely warm feel to it, and you have perched it rather dramatically like a birds nest.
Les Auld: Thanks Ray, appreciate the comment.
looks like a wionderful evening...
Les Auld: Not too cold, thanks for the comment.
Absolutely cracking shot. You are no longer the King of sunsets. You've been promoted to Emperor with this one. Straight to my likeys. All the best, Dave.
Les Auld: Thanks Dave, appreciate the promotion, unfortunately I think I have run out of decent sunsets for now, I need to get out more.
This is such a romantic shot. The lighting is beautiful. Well done.
Les Auld: Thanks Gail, appreciate the comment.
