photoblog image St. Annes Lifeboat station

St. Annes Lifeboat station

The RNLI lifebaot station at ST. Annes one fine evening. This building has a great shape to it and you can just makeout the lifeboat inside. One day I must go back and photograph it from the other side.

Hand held, it has not come out too badly, good job the lens was Image Stabalised as well.

This looks like the Nautilus - most interesting architecture. I like the glow effect of the red light on the left side and the reflection.

Great picture.
Les Auld: Thanks Louis, it is a great shaped building, one day I'll go and see what it looks like from the other side as well.

It looks like an owl's face, Les. I wonder if they did that intentionally?
Les Auld: I'm sure the architect had something specific in mind, it looks very brooding to me, tahnks for the comment Ginnie.
Nice reflection Les. Looks like an interesting building.
Les Auld: Thanks Bernie, appreciate the comment.
Great building with a face like a brooding hawk!
Les Auld: I think I fidn it quite threatening, thanks for the comment.
Not sure how I missed this one, but I am so pleased I found it. It is wonderful! Stunning colour, beautiful reflection, and superb composition. (:o)
Les Auld: Glad you liked it Rosalyn, thanks for the comment.

Great picture, Les. Interesting building made more so by your fine image capture.
Les Auld: Agree it is very interesting, thanks for the comment Ray.
That's a smashing shot Les, it looks like an Owl smile
Les Auld: An owl with attitude I think, Thanks David.
I only live up the road from here and I have to confess I have never really taken notice of the shape of this building. Probably because it is stuck in the middle of the most touristy bit of St Annes which I try hard to avoid. I shall have a closer look next time I am in the locality.

The night time shot certainly adds another dimension to the image.
Les Auld: I must admit that I never noticed the shape either until I spent some time looking at the photograph. I think you are right in that the surrounding mask it a bit as well.
