Did I tell you I LOVE lighthouses! This one's a beaut, Les.
Les Auld: Thanks Ginnie, lighthouse are great, I keep looking for more but don't find that many around here.
This may very well be the first lighthouse i have seen that doesn't even bother with a rock or small island to sit on. Nice capture!
Les Auld: That could be because it actuall stands on New Brighton beach and is only surrounded at very high tides. thanks for the comemnt Martin.

I agree with Martin, Les. I've never seen a lighthouse with water around it like that.

The boys are so cute. I wish I was on that shore too.
Les Auld: Thanks Kay, there has been a lot of work done to clean up this shore and attract visitors back to it.
Ahhh that could be me !! years ago, except I would have been wearing khaki shorts, a white teeshirt and a snake belt! Great shot Les.
Les Auld: My snake belt was yellow and black, but have memories of the srowds in New Brighton years ago. Thanks Alistair.

Awesome view. Love the contrast against their red clothes and the water/sky/the white of the lighthouse.
Les Auld: Glad you like it Spoon, pure luck that they were there when Iwas.

Excellent picture, with all the whites working for you. Gone to my likeys.
Les Auld: Thanks Louis, I tend to underexpose a third of a stop and then bring the exposure up when working with the RAW file so that the whites look just right, at least to my old eyes.
Perfect! A study in how to get whites right, too. (lol! Did that sound like an advert for washing powder?) (:o)
Les Auld: Thanks Rosalyn, definately a DAZ moment.

Les Auld: Thanks Paul, I think I can agree with you on that.

Les Auld: Thanks Aussie, appreciate the comment.
It is a really nice picture very well composed and the title is funny too !
Les Auld: Appreciate the comment Zeb, good to have a bit of humour around I think.
Nicely framed shot. I like the colour on the kids' clothes. All the best, Dave.
Les Auld: Just luck in this case Dave.
