photoblog image Just a lighthouse at Talacre

Just a lighthouse at Talacre

On the way back from Conwy we decided to call in at Talacre to see if I could get a decent picture of the lighthouse on the beach. Well I think I manged a half decent one, the wind was biting as it blew in off the Irish Sea and people were enjoying the bracing weather with coats and windbreakers as they built sandcastles on the beach.

Interesting capture :d
Crazy people on beach in that weather is all I say tongue
Suby
Les Auld: Thanks Suby, I was one of them for a short while, I tried to take multiple images hand held to convert to HDR but the wind was too strong for me to hold still.
Nice composition with the grass in the foreground. The red roof really stands out

Ingrid
Les Auld: Thanks Ingrid, appreciate the comment.
Your horizon looks straight which means the lighthose is leaning...the leaning lighthose of Talacre.
Les Auld: Thanks Mary, yes it is leaning, the sand under the base has shifted over the years.

Beautifull lighthouse. I wanna leave and read in such a good one. Is there one for me in Talacre to live in?

This capture is romantic I think. I like the sea and sky also.Good work.. ta
Les Auld: Thanks for the comments, appreciate your taking time to make them. I think it may be a bit too harsh in winter for anyone to live here.

The leaning lighthouse of Talcre - somehow sounds better than that one in Pisa. Great picture and composition.

A pity about the HDR experiment that came unstuck. I think we could have had some excellent stuff here.
Les Auld: Thanks Louis, next time I should remember to take a tripod.
