photoblog image River Alt Sunset

River Alt Sunset

A low tide in Liverpool bay at sunset exposes the mud flats at the mouth of the River Alt, Many migrating birds stop over here and some of them can be seen in the middle ground.

In the far distance the foundations for the new wind farm to be installed on Burbo Bank can just be seen, This view will never be the same once they are installed.

This is a beauty. Really special if the view is to change so dramatically.

The view is going to change for ever once the windfarm is installed. I wonder if it will prove attractive to tourists?

The colours in this picture are so beautiful, and I love the way the fading sun is reflected in the shallow water
